The Year 1 Polar Bears are learning all about Florence Nightingale this term.

This morning they knew nothing about her! Within one day they have found out she was a famous nurse who was born nearly two hundred years ago! This afternoon they all turned into Victorian Dancers took part in a dance that Florence Nightingale would have done when she was a young girl.

Watch the video below and see what a fabulous dance they were able to do after just half an hour of learning it. I am sure you will agree they were amazing.

We will be teaching it to other children in the school as well as our F2 Polar Bears. They are also learning about people who help us.
