Every year, storyteller Mike visits all the schools in the Equals Trust and works with Year 6 children to help them learn and tell stories. They get to listen to Mike tell stories first and then they work in small groups to practise telling a folk tale or a myth. The children each take a small section of the story and add in their own details and descriptions, as well as actions, to bring the story to life.

The Year 6 children in the video below were chosen to take part in a workshop at Heymann Primary School, working with Mike and children from across the Trust. They then performed their story in the evening to parents and members of staff from Equals Trust schools. They did a fantastic job and enjoyed it so much that they wanted to re-enact it for the rest of the class the next day!
