During our second week back, our school proudly took part in two national events that championed empathy and inclusion: Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need 2025.

🌟 Anti-Bullying Week: 10th–14th November

This year’s theme ‘Power for Good’ invited us to reflect on how our words and actions can make a meaningful difference. The week began with a whole-school assembly, followed by class-based lessons exploring the theme in more depth.

To showcase the children’s learning, we began creating a vibrant display in the dining room. Our guiding question was: “What would we do for the Power for Good?” Children discussed real-life scenarios and considered how they might respond, whether by telling someone to stop if they witnessed unkind behaviour, or by speaking to a trusted adult to help someone in need. Their thoughtful responses, reminded us all of the importance of standing up for others and choosing kindness.

🧸 Children in Need: Friday 14th November

This year, instead of dressing up, we focused on acts of kindness—small but powerful gestures that show care and compassion.

Each class completed three acts of kindness over the week. We shared our experiences in Friday’s assembly, celebrating how kindness can ripple through simple, thoughtful actions.

Some of the acts in Y3 included:

• 💬 Saying something kind about a friend in class to help build a kindness paper chain

• 🎮 Inviting someone who was playing alone to join a game

• ✍️ Saying thank you or writing a thank you note to someone who had shown kindness

We’re excited to keep the kindness going and to continue using our power for good.
