Roald Dahl Class have been busy exploring lots of exciting maths through handsโ€‘on learning! Weโ€™ve been comparing lengths and heights, using words like longer, shorter, taller and the same ๐Ÿ“โœจ.

The children measured objects using cubes and paper clips, learning why itโ€™s important to use the same unit each time, before moving on to measuring with rulers in centimetres (cm). They practised lining up their rulers carefully and comparing their measurements ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ“.

We also explored mass, comparing objects using heavier and lighter with balance scales โš–๏ธ, and investigated capacity using lots of different containers. We even headed outside to measure and compare using plenty of water โ€“ lots of fun and learning all around! ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿชฃ๐ŸŒž

Well done, super mathematicians! โญ๐Ÿ“Š
