Art week
During art week, the whole school used a painting called ‘Surprised’ by Henri Rousseau to inspire their own pieces of art.

Y6 were inspired by the idea of animals camouflaging into their surroundings. They chose an animal and planned out a background for their painting, using the pattern of the animal’s skin to cover the paper.
They then drew their animal and stuck it on top of the background, camouflaging their animal on the page. Have a look at the rest of our photos at the bottom of this post and come to the KPNS exhibition to see the final pieces of art!
Music
This half term in music, Y6 have been learning a song called ‘Nobody knows’ by the Lumineers. We have practised singing it and have also been learning to play it on a glockenspiel:
