This half term, Year 3 have been applying their Design and Technology skills by designing and making their own cool boxes from cardboard.
Throughout the project, the children have considered what makes a product successful, drawing on their observations and ideas to develop their own designs. They have shown thoughtful decision-making when evaluating different features and considering how these could be incorporated into their work.
A key part of the project involved creating nets from cardboard and transforming them into sturdy three-dimensional boxes. The children demonstrated care and perseverance as they measured, cut and assembled their designs.
The finished cool boxes reflect the children’s creativity and have taken pride in seeing their ideas develop into completed products.
It has been lovely to see their creativity shine through and their enthusiasm (especially at the painting stage)!
