What a busy first half term we have had in Year 5!

On Friday, we enjoyed a fantastic trip to the National Coal Mining Museum, and the children had a brilliant time! I was blown away by how much knowledge they already had about mining and how confidently they could share what they had learnt. Their behaviour throughout the whole day was amazing, and it was lovely to see so many examples of kindness and looking out for one another. You should all be very proud of yourselves!

As we look back on our first half term, we have made an okay start to the new school year, but I know there is so much more we can achieve together. Year 5 is full of capable and enthusiastic learners, and I am really excited to see what we can accomplish when we all put our minds to it. Next half term, our focus will be on really getting our heads down, giving our best effort in every lesson and challenging ourselves to reach our full potential. I know we have the ability to achieve fantastic things, and I can’t wait to see everyone grow in confidence and make even more progress!

Over the half-term break, please remember to keep up with your DoodleMaths and enjoy reading at home. These small, regular efforts make such a big difference to our learning. Don’t forget that we are also working towards our Bronze Award, so make sure you are completing you’re reading to help you achieve it! πŸ₯‰πŸ“–

I hope you all have a wonderful, well-deserved half-term break, have lots of fun, and stay safe.

I am already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic half term. Let’s make it our best one yet!

Happy half term and Happy Halloween! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»
