Last Thursday was National Poetry Day and to celebrate, we looked at a poem called ‘The Magic Box’ by Kit Wright.

The Year 6 children began by thinking about the language that was used in the poem, including some of the unusual descriptions the poet chose to use. They then thought about what they would want to put in a magic box and what the box might be made from. They used AI to generate an image of their own magic box and then wrote a poem about it.
