Rashford Class had a wonderful time visiting the Nottingham Industrial Museum in Wollaton Park.
In the museum
We saw old carriages, a car with a wooden frame, and a car with no doors or roof! We also saw a penny-farthing and lots of old bikes with metal seats and metal wheels. We learned that in the past, the first bikes were used only for travel. As bikes have changed over time, their purpose has changed too — we now use bikes for travel, pleasure, and sport!
After the museum
After the museum, we had a picnic then we visited the formal gardens at Wollaton Hall. We looked at a large selection of flowers and plants and completed an observational drawing of our favourite plant. We tried to do some tree rubbings, but it was so windy that we had to stop! Before we returned to school, we enjoyed some time in the park.
Well done to all! We had a lovely day.
