The School Council, have been meeting once a month to talk about what’s going well in our school and how we can make it even better. We’ve had some great discussions and lots of brilliant ideas from pupils across all year groups! Here are a few of our discussions:
✅ What’s Going Well
- Behaviour at Lunchtimes and Breaktimes
The children have noticed a big improvement in behaviour during these times. It’s been calmer, more respectful, and more fun for everyone! - Transition Day & Sports Day
These special days were a big hit! Lots of children said they enjoyed meeting new teachers and trying out exciting activities. - Football Rota
The new rota system for football has been working really well. It’s fair and gives everyone a chance to play. - Our Allotment
The school allotment is looking fantastic!
💡 Ideas for Improvement
- New Clubs
Many children said they’d love to see more clubs, especially ones that offer something a bit different or creative. - Cooler Breaktime Spaces
We’d like to create more shaded or fun areas to relax and play during breaktimes – especially when it’s hot! - More ICT Room Time
Pupils have asked for more opportunities to use the ICT room for learning and fun projects. - String Instrument Lessons
There’s been interest in learning instruments like the violin or cello. We’re looking into how we might make this happen.
