The Three Billy Goats Gruff & World Book Day! - Keyworth Primary & Nursery School

This week in EYFS our big idea question is:

🌉 Can you build a bridge?

We’re linking this to our Talk for Writing story, The Three Billy Goats Gruff 🐐

The children will be retelling the story and exploring how to build bridges using blocks, paper, cups, lollipop sticks and our outdoor crates and planks!

We’ll be experimenting, problem-solving and testing how to make our bridges strong enough to hold the goats… and stay safe from the troll! 👀

We will be sharing this story with the children:

A reminder that next Thursday (5th) is World Book Day 📖✨. We will be enjoying lots of fun book-themed activities in school throughout the day 🎨📚🎉.

This year, we are encouraging children to come to school dressed as something from a non-fiction book. This means real-life people, animals, jobs, or objects rather than storybook characters 🌎🔍. (if you already have a storybook character outfit, this is also okay!)

Costumes can be simple and homemade — even a picture badge 🏷️ or small prop can help show who or what they are.
