Y5 had a lovely day in Y6 today. We talked about what it will be like to be in Y6 and all the special jobs they’ll be able to do. We made flowers for a new display and the children wrote all the things that make them special on the petals. We also played ‘people bingo’ to find out more about each other.
This afternoon, the children found out that their new class name will be ‘Kamkwamba class’ after William Kamkwamba who made windmills to power his village in Malawi with electricity. We then made beautiful pinwheel windmills for one of our display boards in September!
