Dear Parents/Carers
As consolidation of our history topic on the Battle of Hastings, we are going to be visiting Tamworth Castle on Thursday 22nd January. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn all about the history of Tamworth Castle and what life was like for people who lived there!
We will be leaving school at 9 o’clock and returning for the end of the school day at 3:30pm, travelling on the minibus and in cars. Please can you drop children off promptly at 8.50am so that we are ready to leave. We will all need to bring a packed lunch on that day. Can all children please arrive in school wearing school uniform and bring with them a small bag to carry their lunch and drink.
If you would be interested in coming to help on the trip, and can drive to Tamworth Castle, please come and speak to either Mrs Rowe or Miss Rayns.
The cost of the trip includes entry to the Castle, a workshop and travel costs to get there and back. This amounts to £15, which can be paid on the Arbor app. Please ensure you also give permission for your child to attend via Arbor as well.
Things to remember:
- Wearing school uniform
- A warm coat – the castle gets cold
- A small bag with lunch and a drink in
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Rowe and Miss Rayns
