Junior STEM design and technology
Later this half term on Monday 23rd March, Y6 will have a full day in school with Junior STEM covering some of our design and technology curriculum. The children learn how to use the Lego block coding software to control motors, lights and sounds via a bluetooth connection to their tablet. Then they will follow instructions to build a model which they program. Children will be encouraged to be creative by ‘upgrading & improving’ their models and they will learn about the use of gears, cams and pulleys in their models.
In order to allow us to take part in this fantastic experience, we are asking for £10 per child. Please look out for an Arbor payment link from the school office. Please come and ask if you have any questions.
