Dragon's Roar November 2021!

As Christmas is sneaking up on us and it is a very busy time in school, we thought that we would pull together the main information about up and coming events in one place for you all.

Mrs Lindley

After an incredible 18 years of dedication and service to the children and families of KPNS, our lovely Mrs Lindley has decided that it is now time to focus on her own family and will be leaving us at Christmas. This decision has been an extremely hard one for her as we all know how passionate she is about our children. There is no doubt that she will leave a huge, heart-shaped, hole but she has promised to come back and do regular supply for us so in her words, ‘There is no way you’re getting rid of me!’ We’re sure that you will all be keen to join us in sending our best wishes to Sara and her family over the coming weeks.

So, who will be greeting our EYFS children after Christmas? We can now announce that Mrs Kerry Inglis will be joining us to Lead the Foundation Unit. She is coming on secondment from another school in Equals Trust, Heymann Primary School, where she has a developed a wealth of experience in EYFS. She has spent some time in our foundation unit and with Mrs Lindley and Mrs Gerrard and is very excited about joining the team! We have arranged an extensive transition plan to ensure that Mrs Inglis gets the opportunity to get to know your children over the next few weeks and can hit the ground running from January.

Miss Rayns

For those of you who have seen Miss Rayns recently, you will have noticed that she is starting to bloom as she approaches the later stages of her pregnancy. We can now confirm that Miss Rayns in intending to be with us until February half-term (although we know how unpredictable babies can be!). From half-term we are pleased to report that Mrs Hannah Joels will be joining us to cover Miss Rayns’ maternity leave. Mrs Hannah Joels is an experienced teacher and has already spent some time with the staff team and the Year 5 children. Having worked with Mrs Joels previously, we know she will work her socks off for the Y5 children! She is very much looking forward to becoming part of our KPNS family.

Welcome Miss Middleton!

Since September we have had lots of new pupils join school. This growth in pupil numbers has enabled us to employ an additional full-time Teaching Assistant. Miss Middleton will primarily be supporting in Year 1 and Year 2 and is already having a positive impact.

Chocolate Tombola Wear What You Want Day!

On Friday the 3rd of December we will be holding a ‘Wear What You Want Day’ for the chocolate tombola.
