Many of you will know that teachers and other school staff regularly update the website with information about our school. Key dates, newsletters and also class blogs are all regularly updated to provide key information about the school and to give you a flavour of what is happening in your children’s classrooms.
We have added the email addresses of all our parents to the website subscription service. This means that you should all now get email updates of any new website content the day after it appears online. You should receive an email update today, at 6pm. Please ‘whitelist’ the email or add it to your ‘safe sender’ list so that all emails from school land in your inbox, and not the junk file. We will try to remind you over the coming weeks when an email is sent to give you chance to ensure it is arriving in your inbox.
You will also notice that every email update comes with a simple ‘unsubscribe’ link should you wish to stop receiving emails from school. Please come into school if you have any questions about the website subscription service.
If you have a relative who would also like to get updates, click here and add them to the subscription list.
We have taken the decision to close school tomorrow for safety reasons. The BBC are forecasting heavy snow for parts of south Nottinghamshire overnight, the temperature not to rise above -2 and winds in excess of 40 mph are predicted.
The decision has been taken in conjunction with school governors and has not been taken lightly, but with such grim weather forecast for tomorrow, dozens of schools have already taken the decision to close to give parents more time to make child care arrangements.
With extreme weather forecast for Friday 2nd March also, we will review our ability to open safely from 6am tomorrow and aim to inform parents no later than 7.30am.
