  • Energy Drinks in School

    Published 24/02/23

We have seen a large increase in the number of children bringing energy drinks into school, especially 'Prime'.

Energy drinks are not suitable for children to consume, especially at school, due to several reasons:

    • High sugar and caffeine content can lead to negative behavioural effects including anxiety, nervousness, irritability and aggression.
    • In addition, energy drinks can cause dizziness, headaches, and fatigue, interfering with concentration and learning.
    • Regular consumption of these drinks can lead to addiction, obesity, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

Please encourage healthy habits and provide alternative, healthier drink options for your child in school. Water is the best option for drinks bottles.

Please note that energy drinks found in school will be confiscated and returned to parents.
