Our Community
We play an active role in local life with many links to community groups, schools and charities to work in collaboration for the benefit of Keyworth and the surrounding villages.
Here is a list of links to some of the community groups we are involved with:
Equals Trust-a Trust made up of Primary Schools in Nottinghamshire. Established in 2016, Equals Trust schools have committed to work closely together; the Trust is a vehicle to share expertise and resources for the purpose of supporting collaboration and exploiting opportunities to deliver school improvement and to capture “best practice”.
Crossdale Primary School - A primary school in Keyworth we are in a formal collaboration with and is a member of the local family of schools. We share an Executive Head Teacher and do lots of great work together.
The South Wolds Academy - Local Keyworth secondary school that KPNS acts as a feeder school to and a member of the local family of schools, which is made up of 7 local primary schools. The whole family of schools regularly work together on some aspects of school life.
Rushcliffe Learning Alliance - Alliance of primary schools in Rushcliffe who informally collaborate together
Sure Start - Family support organisation with a local presence based at KPNS
Keyworth Parish Council - Strong links with Parish Councillors to share local info
Keyworth Abundance Project - Project that helps pick our apples and distribute to the community
Keyworth Show - KPNS always has a presence at the annual summer show and 'Friends of KPNS' actively support the running of the show.
Keyworth Baptist Church, Keyworth Methodist Church & Mary Magdelene Church of England - All churches provide religious support to the school
Keyworth Leisure Centre - School swimming lessons and events organised here
The Friary - A drop-in centre that KPNS supports with donations of food
Positive Futures - Local charity that helps to enrich young peoples lives and imoprive skills
British Geological Survey - Large local employer that offers opportunities to learn about science and geology
Little Rascals - A Parent and Toddler group that runs term time only from 1.30pm until 3.00pm in the school hall, and caters for children from birth to 5 years.
Co-Op - Local Keyworth Supermarket and Funeral Directors who support the school through their 'Co-Op Member Pioneer' who is dedicated to helping the community.
